One important reason why nothing is working in your favour.

There can be a myriad of reasons why things are not working for you the way you want them to work.

In my personal experience, the biggest problem I face nearly every day is to get over the time-wasting activities and get more disciplined.

That is the reason in my opinion why things are not working in one’s favour.

What has become my daily routine is that every day I delete all the social media apps on my mobile and then after a few hours I again install them.

My mind somehow ends up convincing me that I might need those apps to become more successful and better at networking.

They never help really.

Deleting Whatsapp has become a sin nowadays.

The moment I delete my WhatsApp something will turn up where people have to immediately send me something.

They force me to reinstall it because apparently for them sending anything on Gmail is quite troublesome.

Our dependency on social media is ruining us.

But this is not all.

Social media is also responsible for harming our discipline.

We spend so much time on it that we are unable to do more important tasks that would make use better.

We keep procrastinating the important things which are on our priority list so that we can see one more video or one more meme or read one more comment.

We see social media according to our needs. There are times when we see something on social media which makes us feel bad about ourselves.

It gives us an impression that how we are wasting our lives while everyone else is enjoying life.

On the other hand, sometimes we see something on social media which makes us feel that we are blessed to be where we are.

This constant desire to compete with other people is changing our life’s goals every day and guiding how we should live our life. It makes us dwindle between our own thoughts and confuse us more. It is this and nothing more which is harming us more than it is benefitting us.

We cannot do any good work because our mind is over polluted with the knowledge of the world that we don’t need.

Social media is treasure storage for everything that we don’t need in our lives.

I have seen people who are obsessed with other people’s lives.

For example, Celebrity Weddings have become a social media festival recently where every relationship is promoted on Social Media like it is national news. We savour every detail about weddings and we get irritated when we are unable to follow it. We even want to know where they went on their honeymoon and what they did.

Once you open the Facebook app there is an abundance of interesting, attention seeking, click-bait garbage that you want to click it once to see what it is and hours later you will realize that that it took away all your time.

Same goes with the every-second-updating Twitter timeline.

Instagram by far is the worst app where you get literally no information except what is happening in another person’s life and people who literally shout out loud for privacy laws can be easily seen sharing every minute details about their lives and later wondering why people bother them so much.

It is not the website but the users who are updating the content on it every day and the companies who are running it are turning into billion-dollar giants because we all want to know what is happening in someone else’s life.

The moment you open these apps you just want to be a part of everything that is happening around the world otherwise you feel left out.

Redundant knowledge is how we judge the intelligence of people nowadays.

Remember Alia Bhatt’s interview where she is mocked, trolled and made fun by the entire nation because she couldn’t name the President of the country.

I ask you why an actor who has nothing to do with politics was burdened with the knowledge of something she is probably never going to be part of.

Why are we forced to have general knowledge by the way?

Right from my childhood I was forced to read news and know about everything that was happening around the world and most importantly the names the important people.

I still don’t know why because it never comes to any good use.

There have been researches which say that reading news is just exhilarating for us and is not quite useful in our daily lives.

The problem is that there is too much unloading of Data on us every day that we are unable to control it, instead, we are forced to swallow it.

A mind is a powerful tool but it only works in your favour when it is focused in one direction and that cannot happen if we fill it with every redundant garbage disguised as the knowledge.

The problem is that deep down we know what the problem is, but still, we are unable to do anything about it because our mind needs amusement and it provides us with constant amusement.

To become successful in any field, one needs to be focused on whatever one is doing.

So what is the solution?

Well, the solution is so easy that we think we can control our urges anytime.

But we can’t. We keep buying time for ourselves.

A little more. A little more.

The solution is to stop using these things.

The solution is to become strict and never look back on these social media apps.

The solution is to spend more time on things that bring results rather than on things that only wastes time.

The solution is to take control of life.

Discipline is hard, I understand that but there is no other alternative to it.

Nothing will happen until we take charge of our lives in our hands.

To make things work in your favour you have to take charge of your life.

Without it, it’s just a loss of valuable human time in which one could have done so much with one’s life.
